I've been in a very happy amiable mood of late. :DDDD and i love you, 3justice!
Sorry for the lack in updates since the exams ended on tuesday, ive been busy busy busy busy (well not really, but i'd like to think so). Thursday was a milestone in history for 3J. For the first time, us nobodys managed to clinch the top class of the level during the games carnival. It was a blast, i tell you, but there are, however, drawbacks.
My back hurts. XD stupid floorball.
Yes, so we, the average double-science physics class without scholars or prefects, only known for having the least number of students in a class (twenty-six!!!) CLIMBED TO THE TOP!!!!
It was a day of running around in the rain and mud and getting kicked, whacked or tripped over. And of course, foul play included.
Rebekah, perlyn, pauline, laura and I landed ourselves in floorball and did pretty well (credit to Laura, the scary hockey captain): 3 wins and 2 draws, meaning a place in the semifinals. During the times without matches, we wandered around randomly, going over to caram (yes, caram =/), tabletennis and soccer occasionally.
... OH. XINJIN'S OUR NEW IDOL. She and her tabletennis skills wowed us while we sat in a corner cheering our heads off. You go, tabletennis capt!
Hm. Why do tabletennis players have to stomp their feet when they are serving? For dramatic effect, or does it really work.
Reen was really pissed off that everyone was cheating in caram and the referees didnt care. She wouldnt stop talking of how if purity stopped cheating, our class would land ourselves in the caram semis.... but nevermind.
Played the last preliminary round of soccer, against wisdom, with rebekah and i as substitutes for huiyi and jasmine. Worked on defence/midfield with chew since we didnt have enough players. It was a boring game. Chew and I just kept random shots out of our side of the pitch. Won two-nil in this crucial match and YESSSS we were into the semifinals.
So our class got into three semis: tabletennis soccer and floorball. :DDDD
Soccer semis first; this was probably the most exciting match ive ever played. Against 3grace, i must say that cheryl and bernice are very good with the ball. Chew and I were forced to stay back all the time and rebekah had to constantly be on her guard. But thank god for our fantastic goalie :D Who saved enough penalty shots to assure us a place in the semifinals.
Oh yar. And I love sabrina. Her penalty kicks are awesome. Beyond awesome. Power-packed highflying kicks, man. All of us screamed when she landed the last kick we needed into the net and chew and I danced around yelling our heads off.
Very exciting match indeed. Poor rebekah had the wind knocked out of her when bernice kicked a ball right into her stomach. Ow. And poor Jaime's toe started bleeding after a penalty kick; we have one player down.
Sprinted over to the hockey pitch since we had word they needed help in floorball semis. Rebekah and perlyn make the best defence pair! haha. Beat Hope and we were in the finals. :DDD
Tabletennis was probably a breeze but we didnt get to watch xinjin be cool. :(
Slow walk to the specs stand when there was an announcement that soccer finals were to start then so we had to race back to the pitch and get ready. Celine came on as a substitute and our opponents were 3diligence. Shant talk too much about this match except that referees ought to open their eyes bigger. But nevermind. I guess 1-0 isnt a bad scoreline to lose by in a final, right? Chew's a fantastic defender, but it was too late when she told me to move forward so we could at least catch a draw. Still, too late. Referee's whistle goes.
Receive word that our tabletennis managed to get tops (you go, xinjin :D) and ran to check on floorball finals against Wisdom. Sadly we lost 2-1, but getting into three finals was obviously enough to WIN overall!!!!
When our class was announced i swear i went deaf for a second. Seeing injured jaime wave the huge prize around like a crazed nut with chew screaming beside her with the trophy was simply euphoric. Everyone was grinning for a long time afterward.
I've never been in a class that won anything. Except maybe sec 1L, when we won that drama competition that i didnt do anything for. But now everybody was forced to participate in something thanks to our small class size and i guess it paid off. Happy happy happy happy happy.
Celebrated with rebekah and perlyn by having hokkien mee near perlyn's place and watching prince of tennis afterward haha. We cancelled tennis that afternoon since we were too tired and the weather was looking omnious.
Tennis on later, any other takers? 2-4pm get to yck courts.
I've finally finished watching the naruto episodes lent to me by various people. I love kakashi and shikamaruuuu. Shikaxtem is a very cute unannounced couple.
