General Feeling

"You'd never dream of
Breaking this fixation"

---

I've been having this general, vague dissatisfied feeling of late. It really is like how everyone is kind of wandering from one place to another, some sort of aimless drifting and dreaming.

Of course, not really everyone per se, but people like me, who chase holographs. When we finally get there we realise there's nothing.

Take junior college for example. I entered thinking, "OKAY no more cynicism, no more pessimism, it's a new rah-rah College Dan". Which is probably why I picked Victoria in the first place, since it's apparently so different (IT'S A BIG LIE) and happy and full of pink fluffy cotton candy.

And now what? Drowning in books about disillusionment and futility and (egad!) Great Expectations.

(haha maybe its just the arts faculty)

Perhaps I'm just stubbornly refusing to let go of ideals and selfish personal.. whatevers, but there is just this restlessness not cured by the usual invigorating movies, therapeutic friends, nor antidotal junk food.

Ah well. I'm selfish and tactless and annoyed. Not a very good combination to be, but for now it'll have to do. I'll just wait for this discontentment to take a Christmas holiday.

The wonders of erm, inane vacant yuletide joy.
