School's in.

I'm caught somewhere in the gulf between feeling antsy excitement and heavy dread.

There is some kind of mad rushing activity going on at home right now... my brother and I have returned home (gasp) earlier than my parents. School and its magical power! I have found out several things in my quest to Be Prepared For Tomorrow:

1. I have one black pen (and a whole bunch of maroon pens from my previous life as a Horrible English Teacher. That was a dark, dark age.)

2. I have no foolscap paper.

3. I have four broken files.

4. My pencilcase is dusty.

5. My laptop is uncharged.

6. I cannot find any online lecture readings so I'm slightly panicky why aren't my lecturers uploading ANYTHING and EVERYTHING????

Well.

At least I know the bookstore is at the library. So I can buy stationery. Hahahah.

Yici, Xiangling and I are going down to school early in the morning, even though our lectures are in the afternoon (and mine starts at 4pm) - because we're going to orientate ourselves after skipping O-Week (isn't the name O-Week horrifyingly and openly SEXUAL?!... Or perhaps it is just my perv mind. Forget it). And no, of course not with the school itself, but also the surrounding areas (e.g. Holland V, which I assume is going to be a regular hangout now. We need a Central Perk.) and bus routes.

Eggggciting. My first intellectually challenging activity in months. 'Challenging', being a definite thing, because any kind of activity employing the use of my now mushy (and empty and slow and rotting) brain would be so.

And now, completely unrelated - wait strike that. Maybe it is related. You see, I need to go back to school, so that I can stop being bothered. by mindless things like this and instead be worried about genuinely worrying things like banks and the economy and terrorism et cetera. Is it just me, or does dear dolphin-saving Panettiere believe that deep in her heart and soul she was meant to be born black?
